It is the line organ responsible for directing, planning, organizing, supervising and evaluating social programs, education, culture, sports and recreation, as well as activities aimed at improving the quality of life and living conditions of people, with special emphasis on young people, people with disabilities, the elderly, children, women and the family. It depends on the Municipal Management.
According to the functions established in the Regulation of Organization and Functions (ROF) of the District Municipality of Puente Piedra, the Health Management develops various actions, activities and projects, in order to meet the institutional goals and objectives.
Propose norms and strategies for the management of social programs, education, culture, sports and recreation, within the framework of the corresponding norms.
To plan, organize, implement, follow up and evaluate the processes for the social and human development of the jurisdiction.
Direct and supervise the Municipal Library, theater, cultural centers and art workshops that promote education, culture and reading as a tool to generate knowledge.
Promote the protection and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the jurisdiction and its identification, registration, control, conservation and restoration, in coordination with the corresponding entities.
Promote cultural activities to foster a civic and democratic culture and strengthen the cultural identity of the rural, native and Afro-Peruvian population.
To supervise programs for the prevention, rehabilitation and eradication of drug and alcohol abuse.
Manage social programs and services that support the improvement of the quality of life of the vulnerable population (children, the elderly, young mothers and people with disabilities), promoting the participation of civil society and public agencies.
To issue administrative acts within the scope of its competence.
To direct, coordinate and execute the programs related to the National System of Focalization of Homes (SISFOH), the Municipal Defense Office for Children and Adolescents (DEMUNA), the Integral Center for the Elderly (CIAM) and the Municipal Office of Attention to Persons with Disabilities (OMAPED).
Promote, organize and support crèches and day care centers, establishments for the protection of children, handicapped and elderly people, as well as shelters
To disseminate and promote the rights of children and adolescents, women and the elderly, providing opportunities for their participation at the municipal level.
Promote prevention and rehabilitation programs in cases of drug and alcohol abuse and create eradication programs in coordination with the regional government, with the possibility of international cooperation.
Any others assigned by the Municipal Manager within the framework of his/her competencies or those that correspond to him/her by express norm.
