This site was built by the Incas, after the defeat of the collis, whose center was in comas, in the fortress of Collique, by the years of 1470 AD approximately. This site was built as the new administrative center of this area and functioned as such until the arrival of the Spanish in 1532, which would give it a time of operation of approximately 60 years. Although the Incas planned the construction of this new administrative center, the occupants were generally local inhabitants. The new curaca, according to the chronicles, was placed by the Sapaq Inca himself and was not assumed by the local curaca, due to the resistance of Collís before the Incas.
